he vs him vs himself

Hello,

Are all three (he/him/himself) okay here:

Example: Mike looked at the audience. It seemed as if the argument between he/him/himself and John had excited them.

It seemed as if the argument between him and John had excited them
We use the objective case of pronoun--like him, me and us-- after preposition
