[Grammar] He was insulted

Hi everyone. Can you please explain the difference and meaning of the following sentences and when to use these sentences.

1) He was insulted.
2) He got insulted.
3) He has been insulted.

Have you studied the difference in use of the simple past (sentences 1 and 2) and the present perfect (sentence 3)? From your studies, what do you think the difference is?
I can tell you that sentence 2 wouldn't be used in BrE.

Unfortunately, a sentence like "He was insulted" has two meanings.
1. Someone insulted him (and he either felt it or he didn't).
2. He felt insulted (and someone had either insulted him or hadn't).
We wouldn't say "He got insulted" in AusE either.
