Hi,

Which one is correct?

He will live up to 50 or more years old.
He will live to be 50 or more years old.

Neither.

He will live to be 50 or older.

The problem with the original sentences is more that no one would say them than that they're wrong. They're just unnatural.

Would people say 'live to the age of at least XXX'?

It doesn't sound very natural to me.

I would probably use "He will live to at least 50". "Years of age" is implied.

I'd prefer a different context for this question.

Nobody can predict how long someone will live.

'If he can keep fit, he'll still be playing cricket at 40.'
