Is there a difference if I say : I hear good or I hear well ?

I know that 'hear' is a linking verb and therefore I should use it with an adjective, but if I use it with an adverb will it still be correct?

"I hear well" is fine.
"I hear good things about it" is fine.
"I hear music" is fine.
etcetera.

'Sound' can be a linking verb: "It sounds good".

'Hear' is a normal transitive verb: "I heard the child crying."

But is it correct to say I can hear good instead of I can hear well?

Is there a difference in meaning between I hear good/well?

People do say "good" when they mean "well" in common use. But, strictly speaking "good" is an adjective and "well" is an adverb.
