hello everybody, how are you all ?? it's been a long time i didn't join you in this forum, anyway, i hope you're all doing well ..

is the meaning of the 1st sentence similar to the 2nd ?

1* you'll be late, unless you hurry .
2* unless you hurry you will be late . I thought that the 2nd should be "unless you hurry ,you won't be late " or "unless you don't hurry ,you'll be late" to get the same meaning of the 1st one . am I wrong ?
thanks !

The two sentences mean the same thing. Inverting the order of the phrases doesn't invert the meaning. X will happen unless you Y = Unless you Y, X will happen.

thanks so much, my teacher told me that but i had a little doubt with this.. thanks again..:-D

You could instead say "If you hurry, you won't be late" or "If you don't hurry, you will be late" to mean the same thing.

Unless you hurry, you will be late.
If you hurry, you won't be late.
