I want to suggest a person has an incredible command of a certain language. Have I used "unparalleled" correctly here?

1. Her command of the German language is unparalleled.

2. Her command of German is unparalleled.
 
Yes. I'd go with the shorter sentence.
 
Do you mean she speaks German better than anybody else?
 
Better than Goethe? Impressive stuff. ;-)
