Does this command sound natural: Replace all ocurrences of "r" with "ɹ" but do the replacement only in the phonetic transcriptions?

It would be more straightforward as "Replace all occurrences of "r" in the phonetic transcriptions with "ɹ".

Well, the sounds represented by [r] and [ɹ] are different.
