Hello.

I want to suggest that a woman has recently applied mascara to her eyes. What is the verb I can use in this situation?

Her dark eyes were freshly...with thick mascara.

How else can I express the idea?

I can't think of a natural word that would go there. I'd reorder the sentence to something like "She had applied fresh thick mascara to her dark eyelashes". You could, I suppose, try to make a verb out of "mascara", even though it doesn't exist.

She had thickly mascaraed her eyelashes.

It's not technically correct because it's a non-existent word but it would be understood.

Well, you live and learn, though I see it's only listed as an adjective, not a verb.
