I always have problems with singular and plural forms. I checked my dictionary and it states that holiday can be both singular and plural, which actually makes me more confused. Would you please tell me if the sentences below are correct?

1. I love summer holidays.

2. All employees are entitled to 10 days of New Year holiday, 20 days of Christmas holiday, and 30 days of annual leave.

3. I didn't enjoy my summer holiday and winter holiday this year
Can I combine "summer holiday" and "winter holiday" like below?
I didn't enjoy my summer and winter holidays this year

4. Tomorrow is a public holiday or "Tomorrow is public holiday"?

Thanks a lot for your help!

1. OK
2. OK
3. Combination is OK.

1. OK
2. OK
3. Combination is OK.
4. "a public holiday"

Thanks a lot!

What about "The next ten days are a public holiday" or "The next ten days are public holidays"?

I think the first one is correct because whether holiday is singular or plural does not depend on the number of days of the holiday itself, but I am not sure if I am right.

Either is acceptable but I would go with the latter.
