Nancy Pelosi tweeted:
Today, we gloriously observe the #FourthOfJuly, celebrating the birth of our democracy and the blessings of liberty bestowed upon our country. Let us recognize the vision of our Founders, always honoring their guidance, E Pluribus Unum: from many, one.

Here, "from many, one" is apparently the explanation of the Latin "E Pluribus Unum". The question here is, "from many what"? "Guidance" is singular and the Latin seems to mean "from many good things, their guidance is one of them." I am not sure at all what the Latin means in this context.
