1) How am I doing for time?

Is that sentence correct?

Does it mean the same as:

2) How am I doing as far as time is concerned?

Let's say someone is giving a lecture and wants to know how he or she is doing as far as time is concerned.
Can they use #1 instead #2?

How am I doing for time?

How much time do I have left? (There are variations on this one possible.)

It would probably never occur to me to use "as far as time is concerned" there

@navi tasan Could they use #1 instead of #2?
@Tarheel Doesn't that suggest that #2: really is used?

1. How are you feeling?
2. How are doing as far as mood is concerned?

1. Do you have enough money?
2. How are you doing as far as cash is concerned?

1. Are you comfortable?
2. How are you doing as far as comfort is concerned?

I'd say this is yet another AmE vs other varieties difference.
