[General] How to finish this writing task!

Mark Twain once said, "When I was fourteen years old, I was amazed at how unintelligent my father was. By the time I turned twenty-one, I was astounded by how much he had learned in the last seven years."

What do the lines tell you about Mark Twain's feelings toward his father? Do you have a similar or different experience? Write an essay of no less than 160 words to express your views.

it's not. and i am a teacher. i do not have homework assigned to me.;-)
this is a question posed in a writing competition. usually the writing task in the competiton is an argumentation but this is not. so i want some others' ideas to widen my mind.
an outline is enough.

Please edit post #3 so that every sentence starts with a capital letter. Also, capitalise the word "I" every time you write it. Note that "How to finish ..." is not grammatical (your title). You can say "How can I/should I/could I ...?"
