Hello,

If I want to use an adjective for someone and the adjective is his age how can I write it?

"The fifty nine-year-old man was angry because of the result"

Is this sentence correct?

If you spell out 59, you need fifty-nine. It's a lot of hyphens, but it's correct. You can also write 59-year-old man.

So, if I want to write he is fifty-nine years old, should I put a hyphen? Can't I write fifty nine years old without hyphen?
