[Grammar] Hub of or hub for?

Hi,

I'm confused as to which is grammatically correct:


1. Being the hub of this industry...

Or

2. Being the hub for this industry...

The first one seems grammatically correct although technically, the second doesn't seem to be wrong either. But then again, I could be wrong.

Would anyone kindly help me with these two sentences? Thank you in advance!

I would tend to go for #1, but it might depend on context. How do you want to use it?

I'm actually working on an editing worksheet with my students. I didn't come up with the passage and supposedly there is a grammatical error in the line:

"Being the hub of this industry, stores are packed with items like posters and special edition DVDs."

According to the answer key that was provided, the error is to change the preposition 'of' to 'for'. To be more specific, the industry in this sentence refers to the Bollywood industry. Therein lies my confusion. Would 'for' be more appropriate in this context, then? If so, would you mind explaining it to me?

The beginning participial phrase is a bit strange being followed by "stores". It seems to me that "Bollywood stores" would be better. I would still use "of".

'...the hub of this industry' sounds just fine to me.
