Is it correct to say I am bankrupted instead of I am bankrupt? Why?

I am bankrupt. "Bankrupt" is the normal adjective form of the word.

"The ex-wife bankrupted me" is possible.

So only in the passive form would be correct?

Hi madam.
Why this sentence is wrong : "I am bankrupted". instead of "I have been bankrupted"? Can't we say he was killed or he is killed?

Because we already have an adjective form, "bankrupt." We do, in English, sometimes use the past participle like an adjective. But not when we already have a common, perfectly good word.
