Hi,

Question:
1) Is "assign " the best word for the noun "task"?
2) Can I omit "to my teammembers"

Sentence:

In our group meetings, I would assign new tasks to my team members.

Thanks

1) It's as good as any. 'Allocate' is also good.
2) You could, if that phrase is understood from the context. As an isolated sentence like this, I'd include it.
