Do these two sentences mean the same thing?

1. space here I didn't know that they knew me.
2. space here I didn't notice that they knew me.
No, but since your member profile says you're a native English speaker, you already know that. When have you ever used "know" and "notice" with the same meaning?

It's unclear how the second one makes any sense at all. Did they speak to you? Was there a look of recognition?

When I read those two sentences, the difference seems clear: “I didn’t know that they knew me” is about lacking knowledge, while “I didn’t notice that they knew me” is about failing to observe some signal, like a wave or a look. They aren’t interchangeable, though both deal with awareness. In conversation, “know” refers to facts, and “notice” refers to perception.

We know at this point that they don't mean the same thing. (Why would they?) In what situation are you planning to use one of the other?

I find "I didn't notice that they knew me" so unnatural that I'd say no native speaker would ever utter it.
