Are the following sentences grammatically correct?

"I don`t want you to tell this to Chloe. You have to tell her that we will continue “trying” to help Flynn."

Thanks.
 
They're grammatically acceptable but I don't know why "trying" is in quotation marks.

First of all, thanks for your help!

Because they are not trying to help Flynn. They are making him believe that he sees ghost, but it is a hoax.


 
It's correct,but I would probably use I don't want you to tell Chloe this.
