It's wrong in that sentence. Something like "the policy with my company." Some entity to be "with." A spot doesn't work.

Now, "on my spot" might work.

For one thing, many native speakers do not speak standard English.

For another, we all make mistakes all the time. (Even those of us who think our English is perfect!)

Most importantly, our language has many gray areas. "With" isn't terrible in that sentence, it's just not what most people would say - and I what you really want to know is how to sound natural.

I just took it to mean the home of someone named Victoria. It happens!

In the U.S., we often call homes places. Let's go to my place, let's go to your place, let's go to Vicky's place. Is it used the same way in the U.K?
