Did you get the tickets online this morning? No, I had already bought them at the travel agent's yesterday.

Hello! Can you help me, please? Is "had bought" correct? I'd say "I bought...yesterday" without already. (I have to choose between past perfect and past simple)
I inform you I have already searched for some suggestions on the net, but I'm not fully satisfied and have still some doubts.

My shot.

Try:

I have searched on the internet.

Or:

I looked it up on the internet.

Why would you need already?

Why would you need already? Perhaps to emphasize the fact/timing of purchase.

Just my opinion.

This is an exercise:
A: ______ (you/get) the tickets online this morning?
B: No, I ______ (already/buy) them at the travel agent's yesterday.
I have to choose between the past perfect and the past simple.

Now, what would you suggest? Thank you so much!

I suggest that you use already only when you have a context for it.

It's just a grammar exercise from an English school book. The title says that you have to fill in the gaps with the past perfect or simple.

I don't care if you use the or not. (I consider it optional here.) However, I think you should choose one way or the other and stick with it.
