Can we use the past and present tenses in the subjunctive mood like the following sentences?
I insisted that he apologised. (instead of I insisted that he apologise)
Doctors recommend that everyone eats plenty of fruit. (instead of Doctors recommend that everyone eat plenty of fruit)
