I plan to attend the party in hope of establishing some new contracts.

There's an upcoming part tonight and I told my friend that I wante to go there to make new friends.

There's an upcoming a party tonight and I told my friend that I wante want to go there to make new friends.
It's grammatically correct but it's way too formal for talking to a mate about a party. It sounds like you're a company rep going to a networking meeting. Even the opening "I plan to attend" is more like the RSVP to a wedding. You just need to relax about this stuff and use happy, simple English.

I'm going to the party and hopefully I'll make some new friends.
Hopefully I'll make some new friends at the party tonight.
