I have seen different varieties of the verb recommend. Are the following correct?

1-I recommend that you go on a diet to lose weight.
2-I recommend the movie Nightcrawler 2014 for a watchlist.
3-I recommend going on a diet to lose weight.

I don't know what you mean by "different varieties" of a verb, but the sentences you provided are grammatically correct.

Thank you.

I meant different styles of writing the recommend, sometimes used before than and sometimes followed by a gerund , sometimes by a noun as in two.

I meant different styles of writing, in which the "recommend" no comma here is sometimes used before than "that", and is sometimes followed by a gerund, and sometimes by a noun, as in "two".
See above.

Well, you could use "that" in any of them. For number two you could say: "I recommend that you put the movie "Nightcrawler 2014" on your watchlist." For number three you could say: "I recommend that you go on a diet to lose weight."

To recommend something is to suggest a course of action.

For number three you could say: "I recommend that you go on a diet to lose weight."
That's what sentence 1 says. The OP was asking if all three ways to follow "recommend" were correct.
