You'd know if you'd had a misunderstanding with this man - that would mean that you've directly had an argument or disagreement of some kind with him, or at least a conversation that you now think he took the wrong way. There's no suggestion of that. I wouldn't be inclined to go and see him in another bar but if I had to, I'd say something like "Hey! I just wondered why you left so fast when I bumped into you the other day. Everything OK?"
