I met a man at an English club meeting called Jeff a few years ago and he added me on his WeChat (instant messaging app) but later he unfriended me. Then he disappeared totally. Yesterday I saw him in a remote district because I went there for a job interview. He asked my name and I said "Silver" and he shouted "I know you, I know you" and he left. I was super confused and I left too because I was in a hurry. This Sunday I decide to talk to him in person because I later knew that he is running a bar there and there will be an English club meeting in his bar. I think the first thing I will say to him is:
I think there must have been some misunderstandings between us. Shall we talk about this for a while?
Jeff was a regular participant of a local English club in my neighborhood but later a woman reported to me that he, Jeff, asked this woman for an outing, which turned out to be sexual harrassment. Then Jeff left the place. I think it is this reason. However, that was just what the woman said, I never listened to what Jeff said, therefore, I said the above sentence.
Is my request natural?
