I want to say something/someone is uncommon/rare. Can I use "few and far between"? Are these correct and natural?

1. She made very few gaffes when she gave speeches, if any. Moments of self-doubt were few and far between.
2. Beautiful girls were few and far between on our university's campus.
3. Liverpool has had an awful season in which good performances have been few and far between.
4. She had a tough life in a misogynistic community where female politicians were few and far between, as were moments of happiness.
5. It wasn't easy for him to work in an industry in which phony hypocrites were dime a dozen and authentic filmmakers were few and far between.

"A dime a dozen."
Are these okay?

1. She made very few gaffes when she gave speeches, if any. Moments of self-doubt were few and far between.
2. Beautiful girls were few and far between on our university's campus.
3. Liverpool has had an awful season in which good performances have been few and far between.

@alpacinou Note that there was no need to repeat almost your entire first post in post #3. For a start, it's likely that if there had been problems with sentences 1-4, SoothingDave would have said so in post #2. Even if you weren't sure that was the case, it would have sufficed to simply ask "Are all the others OK?"

I think "phony hypocrite" is a bit redundant.
