Hello,

I usually have confusion on how to use past tense of the verb to be, for instance " I was recommended to make a follow up" or I has been recommended to make a follow up. which one is correct.

Thank you,

Firstly, you mean I have been recommended...

Hello,

I usually [STRIKE]have confusion on[/STRIKE] get confused and don't know how to use the past tense of the verb [STRIKE]to[/STRIKE] "be". For instance, "I was recommended to make a follow up" or "I has been recommended to make a follow up"; which one is correct?

Hello Bagos85, and welcome to the forum. :)
"I has been" is incorrect in English. As jutfrank has pointed out above, "I have been" is correct.

I don't know what you mean by "a follow up". Can you give us the longer version of that sentence, or describe the context (situation) in which you intend to use it?

It is possible to use "I was recommended" in some contexts; e.g.,

I was recommended by the head of department for this position.
