P.S. Writing teachers tell us to be positive whenever it is possible. Instead of saying "never a bad trip," it is better to say "always a good / pleasant / nice trip."

I would not recommend a teacher who gave such advice. Litotes can be very effective.The original is fine in BrE. Incidentally, it does not necessarily mean that the trips were good/pleasant/nice.

Are you saying that my sentences are correct?
