Is "too" unnecessary in my sentences?

1. "My close friends went to the same university I went too."

2. "My close friends and I went to the same university too".

3. My close friends went to the same university that I did too."

4. "My close friends went to the same university that I went too."
 
Is "too" unnecessary in my sentences?

1. "My close friends went to the same university I went to."

2. "My close friends and I went to the same university."

3. My close friends went to the same university that I did too."

4. "My close friends went to the same university that I went to."

You can't use #3 at all.
 
You could use #3 if you removed "too" at the end.
