Hi,
which one of these two forms would you use? Are they both possible? I suppose it means to make a lot of money.

Thank you.

There's a related verb: 'to mint it'. It's informal, and may be strictly Br Eng.

PS There is also a the verb mint, meaning 'make [a coin]'; but 'minting it' is different.

Also in BrE, if you have a lot of money, you might be described as "minted" (informal/slang).

Thank you BobK, but I don't get the meaning of 'minting it' [/QUOTE]: why is it different from "make a mint"?

Thank you emsr2d2 for your additional information.

No difference - except in the register. 'Make a mint' is slightly more formal (but still fairly informal).
