If any of these people knows the meaning of this word then why are they silent?

Use 'know' in that sentence.

But I have a question why "Know" not "Knows" because we are talking about one "Any of these"?

As Piscean has made clear, "any of" and "anyone" don't take the same form of the verb.

Does anyone know the answer?
Do any of these people know the answer?

If anyone knows the answer ...
If any of these people know the answer ...
