Hi teachers,

1) I know that pull, draw or close the curtains is correct and we say draw or pull back the curtains. Is it also correct to say "open the curtains"?

2) If he sets our exam paper, it will be very tough. Correct?

3) If he makes our exam paper, it will be very tough. Correct?

4) In last year's exam paper, this question was set. So you must learn it well. It may come this year as well. Please correct it?

Many thanks in advance.

2) If he sets our exam paper, it will be very tough. Correct? "Sets" is not a common term to use in this context.

3) If he makes our exam paper, it will be very tough. Correct? Yes.

4) In last year's exam paper, this question was included/asked/written etc.. So you must learn it well. It may appear this year as well. Please correct it?

Many thanks in advance.

In BE, we say sets - not makes - an exam.
