I wrote some sentences:

It's 3pm on Sunday. John is having a music class at school. He feels hungry. If he were at home, he usually would have some snacks.

I'd like to know that if I backshift the above sentence, will it become:

It was 3pm on Sunday. John was having a music class at school. He felt hungry. If he were at home, he usually would have had some snacks.

Move "usually" to after "would".
I'd use "would have" in both.

I think most Americans would omit "feel". (See below.)

I'm hungry.
I'm thirsty.
I'm tired.

The first three sentences could be combined to make a shorter and, in my opinion, more natural single sentence.

It's 3pm on Sunday and John's feeling hungry during his music class.
