Hi,
I have come across the following question and searching for correct grammar explanation for the correct answer and why others are not right.

Choose the correct option : If I get required assistance, I _________ pass the exam in the first attempt.
a) shall
b) might
c) could

I feel might and could can be the right answers since shall is used mostly for offers and invitations.

Hi

I got this question in a assessment question paper. I didn't take it from any publication/link.

Hi,
I'd like to know the have come across the following question and searching for correct answer and the grammar explanation for the following question: correct answer and why others are not right.

Choose the correct option: If I get required assistance,
The underlined part is neither grammatical nor natural. Moreover, it's ambiguous. Does "assistance" mean cheating, or does it mean "tutoring"?
Regardless, ...
I feel "might" and "could" can be the right answers
Yes, they can both work.
since shall is used mostly for offers and invitations.
No. "Shall" can also work here. It means the same as "will". Note that some people say "shall" is too formal or that it's outdated; I don't.

Thank you all for the reply. But which one is the right choice. If 'shall' is the correct option, then why not other two options are incorrect. I am really struggling to understand the usage of modal verbs when asked in these kind of questions.

None of the answers lead to a grammatical sentence because of the other errors. Come back to us when you find a question about modals that doesn't contain errors.

Thank you very much all of you.
