This question appeared in an MBA admission test for a university in my country.

If you look ____ the sky ____ a clear night, it is possible to see thousands of stars.
a)at,on
b)on,at
c)up,in
d)up,at
e)in,on

Both 'a' and 'c' seem correct to me. Which option is perfect here?

Please expand MBA for the benefit of those (like me) who don't know what it stands for.

Only a) works. We don't look up the sky.

Please note that I have improved your thread title to make it more relevant to the content.

MBA stands for Master of Business Administration.

As Rover told you, we don't "look up the sky". However, note that we can "look up at the sky".
