What do you mean by "just join the movie"?

TV shows have guest actors, not movies. That's because TV shows are recurring and have regular cast. Movies just have a cast.

Supporting actors aren't just "second most important", they're important (not minor) characters that aren't the lead. There can be and usually is more than one of them in any given movie.

Movies also have extras. These are background people, usually without any lines.

A cameo is when a famous person (not necessarily an actor) makes a brief appearance in a movie/TV show. They are not credited and most of the time they have no lines.

Hitchcock famously makes cameo appearances in his own movies. My favorite is when the current King of Jordan (he was just a prince then) made a cameo appearance on Star Trek because it was so bizarre. I'm a bit of a nerd. :-?

No, it's not a guest star. It's a guest appearance. The guest doesn't have to be a star or an actor at all. They also don't have to star in the show; usually they just have a brief walk-on.

"Special guest star" is just a drummed up version of the phrase to make it sound very special and boost the ratings.

Also, there are legal/contractual reasons why certain actors are billed as "guest starring" or "also starring", etc. This doesn't really have anything to do with whether they appear regularly on the show or only briefly.
