When answering the question "What do you admire most about your best friend?" Should I use "in" or "about" and do both sentences sound natural?

1. I admire in/about my best friend her honesty and kindness.
2. I admire my best friend's honesty and kindness.

Simpler:

I admire her honesty and her kindness.

More complicated:

The things I admire most about my best friend are her honesty and her kindness.

I prefer the second as it anwers the question more directly.

The simplest and most natural answer to that question is "Her honesty and kindness". It's always worth bearing in mind that native speakers rarely repeat large parts of the question in their answer.

Q: Have you got any pets?
A: Yes. A cat.

Q: Where are you going on holiday this summer?
A: Crete.

Q: What do you like most about your brother?
A: His sense of humour.
