in plural: taxi or taxis

What is the plural form of taxi (a taxicab)?

For example: Usually there are several taxis (vehicles) at our station. Is it correct?

Not to be confused with the differently-pronounced biological word 'taxis' /tæksɪs/ meaning the way cells respond to the environment.

As in chemotaxis. It is not transportation for chemo. :-D

Or heliotaxis, which is how a flower turns to face the sun; not a helicopter taxi.

Dictionaries give plural forms. There should be no need to ask a question here on something like that.

I never hear the word taxicab used nowadays.

I agree, it's not in general use. But there was an HBO show recently called "Taxicab Confessions," which featured the drama of taxi patrons as captured on a secret camera.
