Status distribution of marks.

That means nothing to me. Please provide more context.

And when you provide more context, please make sure you put it into a complete sentence.

Status distribution of marks to students. The status shows how many students passed the course and who did not complete the course and who withdrawn the course. I did not know what do students "in progress" and "denied entry" students mean?

It's about the status distribution of marks to students. The status shows how many students passed the course and who did not complete the course and who withdrew from the course. I did not know what [STRIKE]do[/STRIKE] students "in progress" and students"denied entry" mean.

If you were denied entry you were not allowed to enter the program.

The term in progress is a common expression you should probably learn.

The two adjectives are used to describe the categories of students in respect of a course, in presenting their exam results.

I don't agree that "in progress" is an appropriate term to use for students taking a course. An exam can be "in progress", or construction work can be "in progress". Can we say students taking a course are "in progress"? I would call them "currently enrolled students".
