Is it natural English? especially "a lack of sense of belonging". And Is there anything wrong with this sentence?

Poetry written from the perspective of the urban youth tends to reveal their anxiety over a lack of sense of belonging.

Your help will be appreciated.

It's OK. I would say "a lack of a sense of belonging".

Michael, a better title would have been 'a lack of sense of belonging'.

Extract from the Posting Guidelines:

'Thread titles should include all or part of the word/phrase being discussed.'

Thank you. Can "a lack of a sense of belonging" be replaced with "insecurity" or other synonyms?

There is no single word for "a lack of a sense of belonging" or even for "a sense of belonging". "Insecurity" is not the same.

Who's writing this poetry? The way you have phrased it means that people who are not urban youth could also be writing.
