is the word patience an abstract noun of quality? Or emotion?


It can be either an adjective (quality) as in
You must be patient if you really want to learn English.
or a noun as in
The nurse told the patient the doctor would come soon.
It depends on the situation.

So patience is an abstract noun:
The capacity, quality, or fact of being patient.
