My life is basically a domino effect
One bad thing then another
But how could all these bad things happen
To a girl that has a heart of gold
No one really understands
They think my life is full of sunny skies
But in reality its gray skies
The only sunshine in my life is dance
I guess people can say I’m a diamond in the rough
All of this is Greek to me
How I could be smooth sailing but I’m not
People say don’t judge a book by its cover then why do people judge me

My statement was as clear as a bell. There are metaphors in the poem (heart of gold, for example), but it is not a metaphor poem. (There is no such thing.) However, you might call it a cliche poem.

You might want to see if you can say something original.
