"Steve doesn't talk to any other human beings." Shouldn't it be "human being"?

Yes. You could also say that he "doesn't talk to other human beings."

I know "doesn't talk to other human beings." is correct, but if we used "any other" should it be "human being" or "human beings"?

"Human being" is correct. Have you read post 2 carefully? The first word answered your original question.

What if you meant to answer the question in the title?

I'd like to have a second opinion about this because this sentence is right out of an English text book.

I answered the post, not the title.

To be honest, I think the singular and the plural are both OK. Mind you, the sentence is strange- it would be more natural to say anyone than human being, unless he does talk to animals, etc.

I would say "any other human beings" because I would say "any other people" so the plural would be more natural for me. However, I don't find "any other human being" entirely incorrect.

Like Tdol, I would actually probably say "anyone".

Do you mean 'Steve doesn't talk to anyone' or 'Steve doesn't talk to anyone else'?

I mean 'Steve doesn't talk to anyone'.
OK.
Well, actually, that question was for ems and Tdol. I'm sorry to have confused you.

Why not "any other person"?
shouldn't the noun after 'any other' be singular? what's the general rule for using 'any other' opposed to 'other'?
Thank you. :)

We're not saying that you cannot use the singular, but we are saying that you can use the plural, so I would answer your second question in the negative.
