It's only correct if he keeps criticising the spelling and punctuation of the menu and correcting the grammar of the staff and his fellow diners.

Please note that a better title would have been His pedantic behaviour.

Thanks. But I wanted to say the person keeps arguing about what to eat at what time I.e.kind of a bookish thought belief. How can that be written?
 
That sounds more obsessional than pedantic.
 
Consider pernickety​.
 
Or "persnickety" in AmE.
 
I don'r know why the "s" was added, but the etymology dictionary traces it to the late 1800s.
