What does "certain phenomena act differently in different systems" mean? This might be a technical question, and it's hardly understandable, I guess it's like "a birth can be different in each animal, some animal gives a quick birth, while others slow one."
ex)For any given topic in science, it should be possible to improve experimental procedures, develop better statistical tests, explain exceptions, etc. Falling in love with a theory and developing that contented glow of companionship is a guaranteed way to overlook opportunities to improve the field. To put it another way, the scientist needs to develops an eye for imperfections which can be improved. If different individuals seems to debate without resolution, perhaps it is because they are using terms differently or perhaps it is because certain phenomena act differently in different systems. In either case, an opportunity exists for clarification. There are always odd phonomena that don't fit in, and they offer opportunities for discovery. For example, certain lizards can reproduce without males. How did this evolve? What about mutations in such a system? Maybe the opprtunities exist at the experimental level.
