Dear teachers,

Would you please tell me which constructions are acceptable in British English whether written or spoken ?

1) Present Time:

a) It has been two years / a long time since I saw Tom. (written BrE ?)
b) It has been two years since I have seen Tom. (written AmE + spoken BrE ?)

c) It is two years since I saw Tom.
d) It is two years since I have seen Tom. (both spoken English ?)

2) Past Time: which sentence is correct ?

e) It was two years / a long time since I saw you.
f) It was two years since I had seen you.

g) It had been two years since I saw you.
h) It had been two years since I had seen you.

Thank you for your help.
Hela

a/c/g/h are OK to me. You may well hear b & d used.
