Congratulations, that's correct. Some editors would add a comma after learn, but some would accept the sentence as it is.
 
I think it's better to change part of the sentence from ...'so it wasn't any use to join those classes' to 'so it wasn't any use joining those classes.' That sounds more fluent to me. :-D Best wishes ELT
