Hi guys,

Can we say "It's been a long time without(eating, him, talking to him or you)"?

You need to make the various options clearer.

For example, 'It's been a long time since I've eaten'.

Okay, so we can't simply say "It's been a long time without eating". We need to use since after it. Like "It's been a long time since I met him or I ate something". But it is not mandatory to use past after since present perfect can also be used. Is it correct?

It's a long time since I ate.
It's been a long time since I ate.

I once went six days without eating. That's a long time without eating!
