Hello. I'm confused with this sentence, please help. Which one is correct?

1. I'm going to Barnes and Noble to pick up some book I've been waiting for for weeks.

What about "some book"? Should I use -s for it? "some books"

Either "a book" or "some books."
Saying "some book" makes it sound like the book is a random one, not a specific one.

Let's say in this sentence I want to pick up two copies of book. So what's the correct one? Can I use this sentence:

"I'm going to Barnes and Noble to pick up the books I've been waiting for for weeks"

Unless it's particularly important to tell the listener that you're buying two copies of a book, just treat them as you would two different books.
