jaded light

This sentence is from The Secret History by Donna Tartt:
Her eyes were pale, bored, regarding me with a kind of intimate amusement in the jaded light.
Does that mean that the light in the room was dulled?

Probably something like that, yes.

This seems like a poor use of jaded, in my opinion.

I guess it's meant to tie in with her bored eyes- an external ennui in the atmosphere of the room.
