What 's the exact meaning of "life in the fab lane"?? Can you give me examples and where does that expression come from??

Thanks.

"When kimora says "This is my life in the fab lane" as if she's saying "this is my fabulous life"???

Thanks,

It's a variation on the phrase "Life in the fast lane" which is an idiom that's been around for years, describing the fast and exciting lifestyles of people in certain jobs (or celebrities). That phrase is often used as a pun to describe the life of someone who drives for a living (ie a Formula 1 driver) - they probably have a very exciting life, full of fast cars, parties etc etc.

So - "life in the fab lane" is a play on those words and as you say, the speaker is describing her life as fabulous.

 Another variation I've heard is 'life in the bus lane' - the opposite, referring to the slow-moving lane sometimes reserved for buse/taxis/cyclists. ;-)
